Apple iPhone XS & iPhone XS Max
iPhone XS is this year’s flagship device and the iPhone XS Max is the Plus size version of the phone. Both the devices sport similar features, specifications and design. The only major difference between the two is the screen size. While the Apple iPhone XS comes with a 5.8-inch display, the iPhone XS Max comes with a large 6.5-inch display.
As for the price, iPhone XS is priced at Rs 99,900 for the base variant and Rs 134,900 for the high-end variant. On the other hand, the iPhone XS Max comes with a price tag of Rs 109,900 for the base variant and Rs 144,900 for the high-end variant.
iPhone XR
The iPhone XR is the most affordable iPhone this year. So, if you are planning to buy one of the latest iPhones but aren’t looking for something too pricey, iPhone XR should be your pick. The phone comes with a 6.1-inch LCD display. Additionally, the company claims that the iPhone XR is much more powerful than last year’s iPhone X. The phone is priced at Rs 76,900 for the base variant and Rs 91,900 for the high-end variant.

1. Enhanced Face ID
When Apple introduced the Face ID feature on the iPhone X last year, it received a positive response from the users. This year, all the iPhone models come with the Face ID mechanism. However, the new Face ID has been enhanced to help users unlock their phones at a quicker speed. Interestingly, with the addition of the Face ID, all three latest iPhone models have said goodbye to the Touch unlock system.
2. Introduction of Dual SIM
Let’s just say that Apple has ‘finally’ introduced the first iPhone models that support the dual SIM feature. All the three new iPhones support two SIM cards. However, the dual SIM slot is different compared to the setup seen on most of the smartphones from the Android mobile price list. The new iPhones will only have one slot for the primary SIM. For the other SIM, users will have to get an eSIM. Mobile operators like Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone will provide users with eSIM connectivity.
3. A12 Bionic Chipset
Apple has introduced a powerful and smooth A12 Bionic Chipset for the three new iPhone models. According to Apple, the A12 bionic chipset is the most powerful and fastest chipsets to been seen on any iPhone. The chipset can handle up to 5 trillion operations every second. Furthermore, the new chipset comes with an eight-core neural processing (NPU) which permits AI algorithms for various apps.
4. Dust & Waterproof
Apple iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus come with an IP68 rating, which makes them dust and waterproof. The previous iPhone models only came with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. However, with the latest IP68 rating, you can immerse your iPhone in 2-meter water for 30 minutes without any damage. On the other hand, iPhone XR still comes with an IP67 rating.
5. Improved Battery
Apple has put in all their efforts to make sure that the three new iPhones offer more than their previous iPhone X flagship. All the three new phones by Apple come with a better battery capacity when compared to iPhone X. This is how long each iPhone can last for:
- iPhone XS – can last for 30 extra minutes as compared to iPhone X
- iPhone XS Plus – can last for 90 extra minutes as compared to iPhone X
- And lastly, iPhone XR – can last for 90 extra minutes as compared to iPhone 8 Plus
6. iOS 12
Apple announced iOS 12 a couple of months back. With the launch of the three new iPhone models, even iOS 12 has become official. The latest OS comes with improved Animoji, parental controls, and FaceTime. Keeping in mind over usage of smartphone, iOS also comes with App Limits, Screen Time and Downtime. iOS 12 will soon be seen on the previous iPhone models.
