Lenovo Mobiles India has launched the much-hyped latest mobiles Moto Z and Moto Z Play in India. The Moto Mods are also unveiled in India alongside the smartphones. The Moto Z is priced at Rs 39,999, while the Moto Z Play smartphone is priced at Rs 24,999. The latest mobiles from Lenovo will be available on Flipkart and Amazon India from October 17.
The Moto Z smartphone features a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz coupled with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It runs on Android 6.0.1 OS.
On the camera front, the Moto Z offers a 13MP primary rear camera with popular camera features such as f/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization, laser auto-focus, and Dual LED flash. For selfies, the device has a 5MP camera. The smartphone gets its power from a 2600mAh battery that comes with Turbo Charging feature. Other features include water-repellent nano-coating, 4G LTE support, fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, and NFC.
On the other hand, the Moto Z Play smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with a 3GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device offers a 32GB of internal storage and also expandable storage via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
For photography, the Moto Z Play offers a 16MP primary rear camera with dual LED flash, PDAF, 4K video recording, f/2.0 aperture, and laser autofocus features. On the front panel, a 5MP selfie camera is there. Other features include a fingerprint scanner, dual-SIM card slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack. The device is powered by a 3510mAh battery.
The company has also declared the pricing of the Moto Mods which can be connected to the backside of the smartphone via a 16-dot magnetic connector interface. The external modules are interchangeable.
If purchased alone, the Incipio offGRID Power pack is priced at Rs 5,999, JBL Soundboost priced at Rs 6,999, the Hasselblad True Zoom priced at Rs 19,999, the Moto Insta-Share projector priced at Rs 19,999, the Wood and Ballistic Nylong shell cost Rs 1,099, while the Leather Style shell would cost Rs 1,599. If the Moto Mods are bought along with the latest mobiles in Moto Z series, then the company is offering a small discount on each of these Moto Mods.
