Oppo has announced the latest version of its A71 smartphone. The Oppo A71 (2018) is the successor to the A71 model that had launched last year in September. The latest Oppo smartphone will be available in Gold and Black colour variants. And it measures 148.1 x 73.8 x 7.6mm and weighs 137 grams.
Following a price drop to Rs. 9,999 in the Oppo A71 variant last week, the A71 (2018) version is listed with a price tag of Rs. 12,990. The new smartphone has launched in Pakistan before launching in the global markets. Though, the smartphone is expected to hit the Indian markets during the official global launch.
Oppo A71 (2018): Features & Specifications
The physical features and design of the Oppo A71 (2018) smartphone is similar to that of its predecessor. But under the hood, the new model comes with a different Qualcomm processor and a lesser amount of RAM. The older A71 variant comes with an octa-core MediaTek processor along with 3GB of RAM.
The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch HD TFT display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM.
The internal storage features 16GB which can be further expanded to 256GB with a MicroSD card. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat-based ColorOS 3.2 and also supports dual-SIM (nano) configuration. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Furthermore, the main highlight of the latest Oppo mobile is the AI Beauty Recognition Technology that it comes with. This AI technology can recognize the key areas of the face to beautify it. Also, the A71 (2018) smartphone comes with the bokeh effect that can blur the background.
Additionally, the primary camera sensor can capture shots in up to 32-megapixel resolution as it sports a Multi-Frame Denoising Technology and Ultra HD Technology. On the camera front, the Oppo A71 (2018) smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel camera sensor on the rear panel with an LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. The front camera comes with a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
Other sensors included on the phone are a proximity sensor, accelerometer, e-compass and ambient light. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3000 mAh battery that can offer up to 15 hours of video playback and 19 hours of normal usage on a single charge.
