Samsung is about to refresh its tablet range by introducing the much-awaited Galaxy Tab S3 tablet. The device has recently received the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth certifications, but no further details about the specifications of the alleged tablet are available as of now. However, the latest leak is suggesting an Exynos processor for the upcoming tablet.
According to a Weibo post, the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will come equipped with the company’s in-house Exynos 7420 chipset. The tablet will be accelerated by 4GB of RAM and it will feature UFS2.0 storage option. Furthermore, the post revealed that the tablet will feature a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button similar to the one used in Samsung smartphones. The device will also have a USB Type-C port.
The Galaxy Tab S3 will be offered in two variants carrying different model numbers- SM-T820 and SM-T825. The SAM-T820 is supposed to be the Wi-Fi only model, whereas the SM-T825 model will support the LTE connectivity. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2017. It is notable that no information from official sources is received yet, so the specifications of the upcoming tablet might have taken with pinch of salt.
To recall, Samsung had launched the Galaxy Tab S2 back in 2015 for a price of Rs 39,400. The tablet supports 4G connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct. It has a 32GB of internal storage and up to 128GB of further memory can be added via microSD card. The Galaxy Tab S2 features a 9.7-inch (1536×2048 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 5870mAh battery. It measures dimensions at 169×237.3×5.6mm and weighs 392 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is equipped with an Exynos octa-core processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM. The tablet offers an 8MP primary rear camera with a 2.1MP front shooter. It also has a fingerprint scanner. The sensors on the tablet include the accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, RGB sensor S2, and Hall sensor.
