Google Pixel 2 Leaked Renders Suggests Glass Back Panel

Google launched its first smartphone named as Google Pixel back in October last year. Now, several reports are claiming that the next generation of Pixel is in the line. A Chinese website Anzhuo has published some renders of the alleged upcoming mobile which could be the Pixel 2 smartphone. The leaked renders hints that the Pixel 2 smartphone will be significantly different from the existing Pixel smartphone.

Based on the leaked images, the Google Pixel 2 will flaunt a thinner bezel design especially on the top and bottom of the device. The rear panel of the handset appears to have gone through a major renovation. The back panel will feature a full glass design which is completely modified from the existing generation as the original Pixel sports half glass and aluminum body. The smartphone will also have chamfered edges.

On the rear panel of the device, there is a Google logo at the bottom of camera and flash aligned at the center.  It also sports a dedicated fingerprint scanner at the rear panel. The upcoming Pixel 2 smartphone will have speakers on the front panel at the lower bezel. The top side of the device will have a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port at the bottom. The antenna band is also positioned at a different location than the original Pixel.

Currently, the detail of the Pixel 2 smartphone is limited and no confirmed specification sets have received from any trusted source yet. However, the Pixel 2 smartphone is expected to come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor which is the latest and the most powerful SoC from Qualcomm. The Google Pixel 2 is also anticipated to witness a memory bump. The phone might come in 6GB RAM variant and larger internal storage options. Lastly, the device may get an upgrade in screen resolution considering the capabilities of new Snapdragon 835 chipset.

Like most other leaks and renders, the information received from latest reports might have with a pinch of salt. The smartphone appears to be a replica of older Nexus devices, so someone might have leaked the renders just to show off his Photoshop skills.
