InFocus has recently launched a new smartphone under its Epic series of smartphone in India, called as the Epic 1. It features MediaTek’s deca-core processor, big 5.5-inch display, 16MP rear camera, and more. The Smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 12,999.

Specifications
All three smartphones flaunt a decent 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. The displays of these devices come with Corning Gorilla Glass Protection as well. The Epic 1 Smartphone is equipped with a 64-bit MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM and Mali T720 GPU. The smartphone offers 32GB onboard storage.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 smartphone boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor paired with 2GB RAM/16GB storage or 3GB RAM/32GB storage variants.
Lastly, the Coolpad Note 5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor along with Adreno 405 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The Coolpad Note 5 is the cheapest smartphone in India to feature a 4GB RAM.
Coming to the battery department, the Epic 1 smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery with fast charging support. The Redmi Note 3 offers a 4050mAh battery whereas the Coolpad Note 5 is backed with a 4010mAh battery.
Price
The InFocus Epic 1 smartphone is priced at Rs 12,999 and is available for purchase exclusively on Amazon India. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes in two variants based on the storage. The 16GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 9,999, while the 32GB variant costs Rs 11,999. The Redmi Note 3 smartphone is available for purchase from Amazon India and company’s official website. The Coolpad Note 5 can be purchased from Amazon India for a price of Rs 10,999.
Camera
The InFocus Epic 1 smartphone is touted for its camera capabilities as it offers a 16MP primary rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, object tracking and image stabilization features. Moreover, the smartphone has a burst mode which can capture up to 30 photos in two seconds. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with f/1.8 aperture.
The Redmi Note 3 offers a 16MP primary rear camera with dual-tone LED flash. The camera is capable to record full HD videos. On the front panel, it sports a 5MP camera for selfies and video callings.
On the other hand, the Coolpad Note 5 offers a 13MP primary rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and competency to record full HD videos. For selfie lovers, there is an 8MP front-facing camera on Note 5 along with LED flash. Even the front-camera supports full HD video recording function.
Operating System
All the three smartphones are offered with Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with custom UI. The Redmi Note 3 has Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 UI while Coolpad Note 5 features Cool UI 8.0.
Connectivity
All three smartphones are featured with dual-SIM card slots including 4G LTE, and VoLTE. Besides, there is Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS support common in all these.
The Redmi Note 3 and Coolpad Note 5 have a microUSB port while Epic 1 sport the latest USB Type-C port. In the early glimpses, the Epic 1 looks like a worthy contender in the affordable smartphone segment, but the final judgment on who is the best smartphone among them would be too early now.
