Panasonic mobiles has launched a new smartphone in India dubbed as the Eluga Tapp for a price tag of Rs 8,990. The Panasonic Eluga Tapp is now available for purchase via major outlets in India. The budget mobile offers a dedicated fingerprint scanner, 4G with VoLTE support, and Android for Work features. The smartphone is available in Champagne Gold and Silver Grey color option.
Last month, the company had launched the Panasonic P77 smartphone priced at Rs 6,990. The newly launched Panasonic Eluga Tapp features a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button which was missing in P77.
The latest mobile, Panasonic Eluga Tapp features a 5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. The device receives the power from a 1.25GHz quad-core processor coupled with a 2GB RAM. It has a 16GB onboard storage option which could get extended up to 32GB via microSD card.
On the camera front, the Panasonic Eluga Tapp offers an 8MP primary rear camera with LED flash and autofocus. The front-facing camera includes a 5MP sensor for selfies and video calls. The device packs a 2800mAh battery. It measures dimensions at 143x71x8.15mm and weighs 138 grams. It comes with an Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The Android for Work feature in Panasonic Eluga Tapp allow users to keep their work and personal apps separate from each other while using the same device. The data of both the user apps will be kept secure as well. This feature allows restricts the personal apps to exchange the user data with the work apps or corporate accounts by any means, and vice versa.
The latest mobile, Panasonic Eluga Tapp is a dual-SIM (4G/3G+2G) smartphone. The connectivity options include 4G with VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, FM Radio, micro USB, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and Hotspot. The sensors on board include fingerprint sensor, proximity, ambient light sensor, and accelerometer. Moreover, the Smartphone is applicable for Reliance Jio Welcome offer which is the talk of the town right now.
Looking at the price and specifications of Eluga Tapp smartphone, it will compete with latest mobiles such as the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime, and Motorola Moto e3 Power which are priced Rs 8,499, Rs 8,999 and Rs 7,999 respectively.
