Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy On7 2016 model in China at a price of CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs 16,000). The smartphone is now available via company’s China site. Samsung has also teased its Galaxy On5 2016 smartphone in this listing. Although the details about the specifications, availability, and pricing of Samsung Galaxy On5 2016 is not revealed yet.
The newly launched Galaxy On7 2016 smartphone is the third smartphone in its On7 series. Prior to this, Samsung has introduced Galaxy On7 (2015) and Galaxy On7 Pro. The Galaxy On7 (2015) was launched in 2015 for a price of Rs 10,990 in India. The latest mobiles of Galaxy On series are currently announced in China whereas there’s no detail about its India availability is received.
Coming to the specification, the Samsung Galaxy On7 2016 smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) TFT display. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage and Adreno 506 GPU. On the camera front, the Galaxy On7 2016 offers a 13MP primary rear camera with LED flash, full HD video recording at 30fps, and f/1.9 aperture. It also features an 8MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f/1.9. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. The device gets power from a 3300mAh battery that supports the fast charging support.
The Galaxy On 7 2016 has an integrated fingerprint scanner in Home button on the front panel. The smartphone is preloaded with Samsung’s Knox Security suite which ensures the security of the smartphone. For connectivity, the device has hybrid dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The device measures dimension at 151.7x75x8mm and weighs 167 grams.
The Galaxy On7 2016 listing on company’s China website has mentioned that the Galaxy On5 2016 will be equipped with Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, other details are still unknown.
Looking at the price of Galaxy On7 2016, the smartphone will compete with latest mobiles such as Lenovo Vibe K5 Note which is priced at Rs 13,499 and Moto G4 Plus priced at Rs 14,499.
