Sony’s upcoming smartphone, Xperia XR (Codenamed F8331) has been reportedly leaked. According to the leaks, the company seems to have worked on its latest design. The presence of power button cum fingerprint scanner at the side of phone in Xperia Z5 and Xperia X is found on Xperia XR too.
Sony has already confirmed that Xperia XR is to launch at the upcoming IFA 2016 in Berlin on September 1.
Design
The leaked images of Sony Xperia XR can be spotted on several online reports. According to these reports, the smartphone is expected to sport a 5.1-inch display. The smartphone is expected to support 4K video recording. The rear panel of the device features primary camera along with the dual LED flash module. Sony looks likely to ditch the sharp edges of phone in favor of curves. All major tech companies including Samsung, Sony, Asus, LG and others are attending IFA trade-show in Berlin in September, 2016.
Specifications
The design render leaked in a twitter post by OnLeaks clearly indicates that the Xperia XR will have a USB Type-C port which is first for Sony. The Xperia XR will run on an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The dimensions of phone will be 146.4×71.9×8.1mm which is a bit larger than Xperia X. It will have a 5.1-inch display powered with a Snapdragon 820 processor by Qualcomm, 21MP primary rear camera and 12MP front camera for selfie shooters, 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.
Sony has recently launched a smartphone named as Xperia XA Ultra in India with a price tag of Rs. 29,990. It is a 6-inched Full HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution that runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with power of MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB in built storage which can be expanded up to 200GB using microSD cards. The phone has a 21.5MP Exmore RS autofocus primary camera and a 16MP front-facing camera with autofocus and optical Image Stabilization capabilities.
