The company has put an animated Doodle that indicates the celebration of its anniversary around the world. Google Station
Google has announced the ‘Google Station’ which is an initiative to provide free Wi-Fi services at the public places around the World. Google has already implemented the free Wi-Fi services at railway stations across India in partnership with RailTel and Indian Railways. Now the service is going to be accessible to more places across the country including malls, cafes, universities, schools, and other public places.
Google Assistant in Hindi
Google has announced a huge feature, especially for Indian users. The Google Assistant service by Google will include Hindi support for smartphone very soon. This feature will enable Indian users to communicate with Google’s new artificial intelligence based assistant in the Hindi language. The Hindi language support will be rolled out to users by the end of this year.
YouTube Go App
Google has announced a new app on Play Store named as YouTube Go which will allow users to get more control on the data consumption while watching or saving a YouTube video. Google will roll out the new YouTube Go app in coming months. The new app is built with a particular focus on Indian audience as its tagline states- “Ab mazze udao, data nahin!”
Google Chrome for Android
With new Google Chrome on Android app, users can now save music, web pages, and videos directly to their devices to view it later with all the rich content even offline. The new app comes with Chrome Data Saver option which allows users to optimize the data usage on their device. The feature will automatically optimize the websites and pages which will help users to surf faster on 2G and slow internet connections.
‘Wait for Wi-Fi’ option on Google Play
The new Google Play store will now work superior even for the 2G mobile internet users. Google Play will now capable to pre-load the most popular parts of the store on the smartphone when a Wi-Fi connection is available. So users will not have to wait for loading app sections on a slower connection. Instead, the app will cleverly pre-load the useful content while on Wi-Fi network and when you’ll be on the slower network, the pre-loaded content will skip the usual loading time. Moreover, users can schedule app installations and update using ‘Wait for Wi-Fi’ feature which will wait for the faster connection to save your mobile internet data.
