The American technology major HP has witnessed the incredible opportunities in both industrial and commercial 3D printing technology in India in past years. Thus, the company has now announced that it will begin the sale of its next-gen 3D printers in the country in Q1, 2018.
The 3D printing technology was launched globally by HP two year ago and it is now planning to bring this tech to India as well. The announcement about the launch of 3D printing technology in the first quarter of 2018 was made by top HP official in India. Presently, HP printers in India is one of the leading printer brands.
Sumeer Chandra, the Managing Director, HP Inc India said that the company is in talks with various industry stakeholders for their assistance in the commencement of the 3D printing in the country. Furthermore, Chandra said that the company will introduce the 3D printers in India in coming 2-3 months as a part of the contribution to the India growth journey.
Initially, HP will concentrate on the automobile and healthcare sectors for the 3D printing opportunities and it will later focus on the other sectors as well. The technology is in its promising stage and it will gradually take shape in India, Chandra added.
To recall, HP introduced the world’s first production-ready 3D printing system commercially and took the disruptive manufacturing to a new level. The company had partnered companies like BMW, Nike and others to reinvent the prototypes. As a result of this, the first commercial 3D printers for manufacturing industry on the open platform were conceived.

Last month, HP has expanded its range of gaming laptops in India by launching the Omen 15 and Omen 17. These are the top-notch gaming laptops which are designed for serious and competitive gamers. Both laptops boast 10-series Nvidia GTX graphics and high-resolution displays with fast refresh rates.
Both laptops run on Windows 10 operating system. The HP Omen 15 is powered by 7-th Gen Intel Core i5 processor and has 8GB of DDR4 RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050, and 1TB Serial ATA HDD. On the other hand, the HP Omen 17 is equipped with Intel Core i7 processor coupled with 16GB of RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics, and 1HDD storage.
